Launch of Coller FAIRR Climate Risk Tool 3.0
The Coller FAIRR Climate Risk Tool (CRT) is a climate scenario analysis tool for investors to simulate the material impacts of climate change on the livestock industry. Based on a sophisticated scientific model, developed in collaboration with IIASA, the CRT analyses the impacts of climate change on the biggest livestock companies.
The FAIRR Initiative is pleased to announce the launch of the latest version of the Coller FAIRR Climate Risk Tool (CRT) - the first-ever climate scenario analysis tool for investors to simulate the material impacts of climate change on the meat and dairy industry. Based on a sophisticated scientific model, the CRT can assess the material impacts of climate change on some of the biggest livestock companies, giving investors unparalleled insights into the industry. In addition, this version was produced in collaboration with the prestigious International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), a world leader in scenario analysis and systems modelling, making it even more powerful than before.
The tool can be utilised by in a multitude of ways. For example, investors can leverage the tool's resources to inform their engagement with companies on climate mitigation and adaptation strategies. They can also use the tool to inform strategic capital allocation decisions in the short, medium and long term. Moreover, the tool can be utilised to adjust risk-and-return assumptions in the commodity market. By using the tool’s regional- and commodity-specific drivers to revenue and cost changes, investors can better understand climate-related impacts on their investments.
