The SMID (Small and Mid-Caps) Club gathers investors who want to work collaboratively to help small and mid-cap companies make progress on their environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues
Faced with the need to structure and formalize the ESG approach of small and mid-cap companies and to create a forum for discussion between investors on this type of assets, the Frenchsif is launching its SMID Club, hosted within its engagement Platform
The club will be organized into several working groups, each led by one or more investors, covering ESG issues. Investors participating in the club will be able to take part in one or more working groups of their choice, depending on their strategic priorities. Several working groups will be launched in the coming weeks, including one on governance, one on the implementation of CSRD and another on human capital. In each thematic working group, a list of companies could be selected for engagement. For each engaged company, one or more lead investor will be responsible for implementing the roadmap defined by the group.
The aim is to share best practice, define common expectations, facilitate dialogue with companies and support them in their ESG progress.
