Collaboration details

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is consulting on a draft sustainability reporting standard for the capital markets sector, applicable to asset owners and investment managers, until May 31st. PRI has been involved in the Technical Committee that informed the development of the standard will submit a consultation response.

We are engaging on this topic because the GRI Standards are a key part of the global sustainability reporting landscape for PRI signatories, as both users and preparers of disclosure. In addition, the GRI standards are relevant for regulation, as they have already informed sustainability reporting regulations in jurisdictions like the EU and China. Finally, the standard will contribute to PRI's thinking on reporting under the forthcoming Progression Pathways Framework.

We will gather signatory feedback on our response using a phased approach.

  • Drop-in session: We will host drop-in sessions on April 10 with signatories and will include presentations from GRI and PRI representatives as well as a discussion to gather signatory input on our key recommendations – please register by e-mailing [email protected] to confirm your attendance. Drop-in sessions will be held at 7:30-8:30 BST and 16:00-17:00 BST to accommodate different time zones, and slides will be shared beforehand.
  • Draft response: On April 11 we will share our full draft response with signatories in this group for comment, and use any feedback received to inform our final response.

Please feel free to contact [email protected] with any questions or suggestions at this stage.
